October carries ancient echoes – its name from “octo,” the Latin word for eight, reflects a time when the calendar once began in spring in the ancient Roman calendar. Originally the eighth month, October’s position shifted to tenth after calendar reforms added January and February, yet its original name endured, honoring its historical and agricultural roots.
Metaphysically, October is a portal for soul renewal and deeper spiritual connection, as the veil between worlds thins and introspection flourishes. After September’s harvest, this month offers transformation and gentle completion. It’s the season to reflect, release, and nurture the seeds, both seen and unseen, that will blossom come spring. Honor this mystical transition: listen for wisdom, embrace your path, and dream forward the intentions that will shape the year ahead.
In the flow of transformation,
Jeanne
